You have a well designed website. The man in RED looked good too. Why only "Streets of Paris", what about "Streets of Singapore" Hey, unfair!! Well you have done a great job, keep it up! Really appreciate your work.
Poh Lai LIM:
Hi Noreen,
Thanks for your comments and questions.
Why only Streets of Paris? What about Streets of Singapore?
I went to Paris in Spring, the cold weather had drawn me to walking on the street to street daily, interesting shape of buildings have captured my eyes to paint them.
In Singapore, the weather is so hot which has kept me away, however, the shady and cooling places like Botanical garden and nature parks would attract me. That's why you see I have created the nature park and flower series. Another reason is there are too many vehicles on Singapore streets; noise and air pollution, and if artists stay too long outside the private/corporate buildings to make sketches, their security guard would chase me off. Hope Singapore building management would relax their rules for artists.

Paris series It is funny how the ones that i found fascinating are the ones that have been sold :) I like the way you have used different tecniques to portray different themes/subjects. Your trip to Paris has definitely been worthwhile.
Great works! Keep it up

You have a well designed website with a good display of your paintings. You have a simple and effective technique to capture the charms of the Parisian street scence. Won't you do the same for our own street scences.
Wish you success and fulfilment in your profession.

To me your painting is lucent, uncomplicated and delightful. To quote: "There are painters who transform the sun to a yellow spot, but there are others who with the help of their art and their intelligence, transform a yellow spot into the sun." Pablo Picasso (1881 - 1973)
